Silver Ridge accommodates both veteran and non-veteran midlife adult clients who are struggling with substance use disorders. Although Silver Ridge is not a veterans-only program, our staff members understand military trauma as well as the unique difficulties veterans face and are equipped to care for veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Attending mixed population groups alongside non-veteran clients can be beneficial for veterans in recovery, helping them to develop skills for re-integrating into civilian life after the military. Veteran PTSD symptoms are similar to those shown by individuals who have experienced non-military trauma, and the same treatment modalities can be applied.

Veterans Affairs Community Care Network (VA-CCN)

Silver Ridge is proud to be part of the Veterans Affairs Community Care Network (VA-CCN).

The VA-CCN is a network of facilities that are pre-approved to accept veteran benefits for behavioral healthcare treatment, giving vets faster and more convenient access to care. The Community Care Network (CCN) uses industry-standard guidelines to administer treatment and pay for services.

In order to secure funding for your treatment through the VA-CCN, both an authorization from the VA and a doctor’s referral are required. One way to obtain these is by visiting your home county VA office to meet with a primary care doctor. Talk to your doctor about getting a referral to access the CCN for treatment at Silver Ridge.
